We Do One Thing: Gophers.
Gophers are hard to get rid of. They live underground, you rarely see them, and they can quietly damage lawns, gardens, irrigation, shrubs, and trees.
Homeowners often struggle to remove them, and much of the DIY advice online doesn't address how gophers actually live and behave. Many pest-control companies don't specialize in gophers because they're difficult, labor-intensive work.
So we decided to do something different. Instead of trying to be a company that does everything, Gopher Stop focuses on one of the hardest landscape pests and does it exceptionally well.
Meet the People Behind Gopher Stop
Larry is the owner and co-founder of Gopher Stop. A Desert Storm Air Force veteran, Larry is based in Riverside and leads our Inland Empire operations.
Aaron is co-founder, based in Murrieta and focused on serving the Temecula Valley.
Together, they built Gopher Stop around a simple idea: be really good at gopher removal, and treat customers the way we'd want to be treated.
Why Gopher Stop Is Poison-Free
For Larry, poison-free gopher control is personal.
He's been a homeowner in Riverside for more than 24 years and has bred and shown champion Whippets. Keeping his dogs safe meant finding a way to deal with gophers without relying on poison around his property.
That experience helped shape how Gopher Stop approaches gopher removal today. We believe there is a better way to control gophers without unnecessary poison.
Let's Do the Opposite of What We Hate.
Anyone who has owned a home knows how frustrating it can be to hire a service company:
- You don't know when they'll show up.
- You don't know when they'll come back.
- Communication can be poor.
- Pricing isn't always clear.
- Sometimes companies don't do what they promised.
Aaron once said to Larry: “From all the bad experiences we've had in decades of home ownership, let's do the opposite of what we hate.”
That became part of the Gopher Stop standard:
